Applique heart quilt

I love homemade quilts! There's just something about a homemade quilt that you just cannot get in a quilt that you bought from the store. I especially love hand pieced and hand quilted quilts although I do love machine pieced and sewed quilts as well. What ever works  for the person who is making the quilt works. I started this last year then tucked it away and forgot about it. I figured it's about time that I finished it!!

This is how I am doing the blocks...
The background is four inches, the heart is fused then hand appliqued to the background. A little time consuming but I think it's going to be worth it when it's finished.

And these are a few rows that I have sewn together. I really like how it's coming out. I was going for a country look and I think I got it!

Garden Soaps

I saw this mold in the baking department and knew that I had to make some soap with it!
I thought insects, then garden and so I went with green and of course some sparkle. I scented them with a new scent that I just bought called Butterfly Orchard, they look so cute and smell amazing!!
